Is government legislation that has been adopted from Europe, it stands for General Data Protection Regulation.
GDPR is a positive step in data protection and offers you better protection of staff, parental and children's personal data. GDPR allows everyone more control and heightened protection over the data that is kept by organisations in the UK.
Data regulation has had to evolve in light of major data breaches around the world.
What is personal data?
Personal data includes things like your name, address and date of birth. Which is what you would expect, but did you know it can also be ethnicity, health and anything else that someone could use to identify you as an individual?
Better protection
Cambridge Park Academy has always been and will always be a secure place for any data given. Data security is a crucial part of everything that the academy does on a daily basis. The new legislation rules ensure that all organisations are set up to protect all personal data that is held and report to ICO (The Information Commissioners Office) in the event of any breaches.

New regulations support your rights to have your data protected and your privacy respected. The new regulations are intended to give you confidence that the information that we have about you is safe, accurate, up to date, easily accessed upon request and well managed by our organisation.
What we use your information for
Cambridge Park Academy only collects information that is vital for the day to day running of the academy and for the welfare of our staff and pupils. The information we collect is only shared with organisations and other professionals who have proved to us that they adhere to the new data protection regulations.
