Life Skills lessons provide Key Stage 3 and 4 learners the opportunity to develop skills to meet the challenges of everyday life. Areas of study include money management, personal hygiene, cleaning and laundry, social skills, road safety, travel in the community, food preparation and how to make healthy choices. All lessons maintain a focus on learning and improving independence skills.
Key Stage 4 learners follow a two year accredited course at Entry Level Award; Entry Level Certificate or Entry Level Extended Certificate. The OCR Life and Living Skills suite of Entry Level qualifications provide learners with high quality, nationally recognised qualifications. They are credit-based qualifications that provide valuable opportunities for individuals to develop skills, gain underpinning knowledge and understanding and offers opportunities for learners to progress to higher level units.
