Here in Blue Class we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum focusing on the Prime Areas (Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Communication and Language), this helps us then develop the more specific areas of the curriculum. We are lucky enough to have lots of adults working with us to help us develop our skills, these are: Mr Coll who is our teacher, Miss Addison, Miss Allen, Miss Hall, Mrs Bloomfield and Mrs Smith who are our teaching assistants. Our timetable is designed to fit our different needs that provides stability, routine and also lots of fun activities. In the morning we have our group time and wake up shake up to get our brains nice and active. We then do our Read Write Inc. phonics which helps us grow to become super readers and writers. We spend a lot of our time in our Independent Learning where we consolidate what we have learnt in our short maths and literacy lessons through play to help us develop in a fun and engaging way. During independent Learning we can access both inside the classroom and outside in our specialist outdoor area.In Blue Class we are super lucky to have a sensory room in our classroom and we use this and a range of different resources to fulfil our sensory needs. We also have lots of extracurricular activities these include: Music with Miss Hebdon and P.E. with Mrs Clarke. Each child in Blue Class is assigned a Key Person who they work closely with to facilitate their learning and ensure that they are given every opportunity to succeed.
