On 21st September 2017 Cambridge Park celebrate its 25th Birthday!
Cambridge Park opened in September 1992. Our celebration represented completion of 25 years of specialist teaching and support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs. Cambridge Park is a school at the heart of the community, where through consistent approaches and specialist support our students achieve skills that prepare them for further education, employment and adult life. The well trained, multidisciplinary staff team are dedicated to providing the best opportunities for the students they support and have high aspirations for the academic and social development of all students. Our celebrations focussed on the Silver Jubilee theme and the fairground and activities on offer brought a 90s retro style for staff and students attending. The day was designed to allow students to enjoy activities with their friends, in and out of the classroom; and to enjoy rides on the fairground, experience fairground stalls, 90s style clubbercise, a visit to the face painting tent, photographs in the photobooth and with favourite superheroes - Iron Man and Spiderman. The day concluded with all students and staff being presented with a commemorative gift to take home to provide a lasting memory of the day. The event represented a landmark for the Academy as we remember many students who have passed through the school over the years and developed into respected and valued members of our community in North East Lincolnshire.
The day was wonderful and enjoyed by all who attended!
